Privacy Policy

Protecting your personal data matters to me. I process your data exclusively on the basis of the applicable legislation (GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). Below you will find the key points about data processing on this website.

2. Hosting & server log files

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you visit, Netlify automatically processes technically necessary data (“server log files”): IP address, browser type and version, device, date and time of access and the pages requested. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a stable, secure and error-free presentation). Transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of appropriate safeguards (EU standard contractual clauses).

3. Cookies & analytics

This website uses no cookies and no personal tracking. For plain visitor statistics I use Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.), a cookieless method that works without cookies and without cross-device user profiles. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. A cookie banner is therefore not required.

Your browser also stores whether you have already seen or closed the newsletter window, so that it is not shown to you again. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to me.

4. Contact form

If you contact me via the contact form, I process the details you provide (name, email address, your animal’s name and species, your enquiry and your message) solely in order to answer your enquiry and for any follow-up questions (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

Form data is processed by Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc., USA) as a processor on the basis of EU standard contractual clauses. No data is passed on to other third parties; it is deleted once our communication is complete.

5. Data in the context of an animal communication

If you commission an animal communication, you also send me details about your animal (name, age, particularities, health circumstances, background), photos of your animal and descriptions of your daily life. I process this information solely in order to carry out the conversation and produce your transcript (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

Your details, photos and transcript are treated confidentially and are not passed on to third parties. To comply with tax retention obligations, invoice data is kept for seven years (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR). Other documents are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed – at the latest at your request.

6. Newsletter

I use Brevo (Brevo, France) to send my newsletter. When you subscribe, I process your email address and, if provided, your first name on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

Subscription uses the double opt-in procedure: you first receive a confirmation email and are only added once you have confirmed. You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link at the end of every message. Your address is then removed from the list.

7. Reviews on this website

On the home page I publish feedback from clients with their first name, the initial of their surname and the name and photo of the animal concerned. This is done solely with the prior consent of the person in question (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Consent can be withdrawn informally at any time; the review is then removed promptly.

8. Fonts & external links

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.); your IP address may be transmitted to Google in the process (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Links to Instagram are plain links; data is only transmitted once you click them.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent and objection to processing. If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can contact the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
