What animal communication is

Listening with
every sense

For me, animal communication is far more than asking questions. It is a conscious connection on a soul level.

Animals communicate with us constantly. Not only through behaviour or body language, but also through feelings, images, inner words, memories or energy. In animal communication I open myself to exactly that level. What comes through arrives in very different ways – as a feeling, an inner image, a word or a sensation in the body.

Animal communication does not mean animals “speak like humans”. It is an intuitive dialogue – often very subtle, emotional and surprisingly honest. Every conversation is different, because every animal has its own personality, its own story and its own way of expressing itself.

Some people experience the conversation as confirmation of what they already sensed. Others suddenly see connections that were invisible before. You don't have to be convinced to give it a try.

The basis

A dialogue, not a test

No training, no diagnosis, no obedience work – simply your animal's view of its life, its people and whatever is on its mind.

The process

Your animal stays at home

You send me photos and your questions. I take my time for the conversation – no appointment in person. Your animal simply carries on doing what it always does.

The outcome

Transcript and follow-up

A detailed, beautifully designed transcript you can read again and again, plus a 20-minute online follow-up for anything that raises questions.

the animal knows joy and pain like you.”

How it works

From your enquiry
to your transcript

I

Your enquiry

You write to me by email: two to five questions for your animal and everything I should know – name, age, how long it has lived with you, particularities, illnesses, the circumstances, what is going on right now. Plus one or two recent photos with the eyes clearly visible.

II

My confirmation

I read your enquiry carefully and get back to you. The process only begins once I have said yes.

III

The conversation

I choose a quiet moment and connect with your animal. This happens regardless of distance – you don't have to travel anywhere or prepare anything. I write down everything that comes through, exactly as it comes.

IV

Your transcript

You receive the full conversation as a designed PDF. Answers to your questions – and often what your animal wants to show of its own accord: needs, uncertainties, wishes, its view of your family.

V

Follow-up call

20 minutes online, where we make sense of the transcript together. For your questions, for whatever surprised you, and for concrete next steps in your everyday life. Your invoice follows afterwards.

Where it can help

Common reasons

  • Behavioural changes
  • Changes in daily life
  • Stress or insecurity
  • Introducing a new animal
  • Moving house
  • Changes in the family
  • Grief & farewell
  • End-of-life support
  • Missing animals
  • Animals who have passed
  • Simply: more connection

Honestly

What animal communication is not

  • No substitute for a vet, therapy or training.
  • No guarantee of finding a missing animal, and no exact location.
  • Not a tool to make an animal do something. This is about understanding, not control.
  • No perfect answers. Sometimes an animal shows something quite different from what was asked.

Animal communication does not replace veterinary or medical treatment. It can, however, help you understand animals better and deepen your connection.

Who is listening

Birgit Kruckenfellner

I have been listening to animals since I was a child. Professionally I got here by a detour: for thirteen years I was a police officer. The callouts involving animals stayed with me the most – and showed me how often, at the decisive moment, nobody hears their side.

For twelve years I have volunteered in animal welfare with Streunerhilfe Bulgarien, a stray animal charity. Before that I cared for dogs as a volunteer at the Vösendorf animal shelter.

It is easy to feel small against all of that. There is so much I cannot change – in the large sheds, in the laboratories, in the circus rings, among the species growing quieter every year.

But something shifts when a person truly hears what their animal has to say. It stops being a companion and becomes a counterpart with a voice of its own. And anyone who has experienced that looks at every other animal differently.

That is what drives me. Every conversation changes something – between one person and one animal, within a family, sometimes across generations. Someone who grows up seeing an animal asked rather than commanded will treat animals differently. That carries on long after the transcript is written.

As a celebrant I accompany people at weddings, welcome ceremonies and farewells. Listening is my craft. Training as an animal communicator was therefore not a break but the next step – seven months at the Cosmic Whisperer Academy, with supervised practice, documented animal conversations, a project and a final examination.

Animals communicate constantly: through behaviour, through body language, but also through feelings, images, memories and energy. I open myself to exactly that level – attentively, without imposing my own interpretation, and with great respect for what an animal wants to show.

Between forest and meadow

  • I live in Burgenland, Austria, with my husband and our three children.
  • We share our home with two dogs and four cats – each with a mind of their own.
  • I love books, herbs and everything that grows.
  • I have been a child of nature for as long as I can remember.

All conversations take place online, so it makes no difference where you are.

I'm glad you're here.

What people say afterwards

I share more feedback and glimpses of my work regularly on Instagram. All reviews were written in German and translated here.

Bubi, a ginger tabby cat Without knowing us personally, you brought up things that are absolutely present in our lives. You conveyed exactly how my cat is and the way he speaks. Even now I notice that the connection between us has grown deeper.

Thank you for this almost unbelievable conversation with my cat – unbelievable because it was so true. I felt everything from crying to laughing while reading the conversation, which was beautifully designed as well. Without knowing us personally or knowing more about us, you picked up and named things that are more than true and absolutely present in our lives. You also conveyed exactly how my cat is and the way he speaks. You can really tell what a connection you have with an animal and how you build it. I am incredibly grateful. Even now, on the same day as the communication, I notice that the connection between us has grown deeper and that there is somehow even more trust. In each other, and in the fact that everything is as it should be. THANK YOU

Thank you so very much for this beautiful and very emotional dialogue with Whisky. Fabian and I are incredibly moved. And it is just so striking – Whisky always used to give his paw and preferred being outside to being indoors. Towards the end especially we could hardly get him back inside, he wanted to stay out. It really gives you so much strength and helps enormously with processing grief. Thank you so much. It was so beautiful.

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was a truly special experience and throughout our exchange I felt comfortable and taken seriously. What surprised me most were the many things that matched, even though I had deliberately not told you some of them. It really made me think and opened up a new perspective for me. We took your words very much to heart and have already put some of the things we discussed into practice. Now we are of course very curious to see how everything develops over the coming days and weeks. Thank you so much for your time, your warmth and the effort you put in.

Good to know

The most common questions
at a glance

Does my animal need to be present?
No. The conversations do not take place in person. Your animal stays at home and carries on doing whatever it is doing. I work with your photos and with a connection that exists across any distance.
I'm honestly sceptical. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Scepticism is completely fine, and you don't have to believe in this for a conversation to take place.

What it does need is openness. Animal communication is not a guessing game and not a test in which I am meant to prove how much I can guess correctly. It is about giving your animal space and listening to it.

You receive a transcript that you can make sense of yourself. Much of it you will recognise immediately. Some of it will only make sense days or weeks later, when a situation arises that you weren't thinking of while reading. And some of it stays open. That is fine too.

What training do you have?

I completed the “Wild Wisdom” training at the Cosmic Whisperer Academy – seven months, mostly live online, in a small group. Graduating requires documented animal conversations, a project and a final examination.

The difficult areas were an integral part of it: accompanying animals through the dying process, communicating with ill animals, animals who have passed and missing animals, holding space for people in emotional processes – and the ethical responsibility this work demands. That is why I offer these services.

Does this work with every animal?

Yes, with all animals – regardless of species or size. And yes, with plants too.

Every animal communicates differently: some very directly, some more reservedly. I pass on everything your animal shares – including anything that might be uncomfortable. Nothing is sugar-coated and nothing is left out.

Can I speak with an animal who has passed?
Yes. Especially after a farewell, questions or feelings of guilt often remain. A conversation can help you make sense of your emotions and gently close what is still open. Connection does not end with death.
Will you find my missing animal?
I cannot promise that, and I do not give exact locations. What can emerge: impressions of how your animal is doing, feelings, images, sometimes directions that support your search – and often simply something to hold on to during a very difficult time.
How long does it take to receive the transcript?

Usually within a few days of my confirmation. If I have many enquiries open at the time, I will tell you when I can fit you in – so you never wait without knowing where you stand.

In urgent cases such as a dying process or a missing animal I get back to you as quickly as possible. Please say straight away that it is urgent.

How does payment work?
You receive an invoice by email after the conversation, payable by bank transfer. Nothing needs to be paid in advance. I am registered as a small business in Austria, so prices are exempt from VAT.
Does this replace the vet?
No, and that matters to me. I do not make diagnoses and I do not take medical histories. If your animal is in pain or its condition changes, that belongs with a vet first. Alongside that, animal communication can help you understand how your animal feels about it.
